Hoka Mach X
I’ve run through 2 pairs of the Mach 5 and loved them. I bought the X because I was hoping for a similar shoe with more durability. I’ve put about 30 miles on them over 5 runs. The soles look like brand new so I expect to get more miles out of them than the Mach 5. The fit is similar but the heel does not fit me as well as the Mach 5. The Mach 5 heel is higher in the back and that seems to make my feet happier. The X ride seems just as comfortable with a little more forward propulsion. They are definitely softer than my Topo Specter which I was trading out with the Mach 5. I feel more stable in the MachX than the Spector. I do like the new type of lace. They have a slight amount of stretch and do stay tied.
